VEGI Kickoff

Join us this Cinco De Mayo at our annual kickoff for La Puente’s VEGI Program! The VEGI Kickoff event celebrates the beginning of our growing season at Boyd Community Garden. The evening will allow community members to fellowship, partake in hors d’oeuvres and light refreshments, help with seed-starters, play yard games, and learn more about VEGI. Our VEGI director, Amy, will be sharing about the mission of VEGI, its local partnerships, available nutrition and gardening lessons, and our upcoming community garden nights (from May through September, every Tuesday evening anyone is welcome to “share the work, share the harvest” at Boyd)!

Attendees are also encouraged to participate in a mural project to beautify the garden more: the shed will be turned into a giant paint by number, making it easy for all skill levels to join (mockup below).
