Leading up to the holidays, La Puente hosts an annual Christmas Party with the help of our community!
Holidays can be filled with joy, but also with hardship for families…not just financially, but also as losses are felt more deeply and some battle with isolation.
Our Christmas event isn’t just about “stuff” (although music, hot cocao, sugar cookies, costumes, and free gifts are super fun!) but also about creating a sense of togetherness as neighbors, coworkers, family members, and strangers gather to enjoy the magic of the season. Whether guests were 3 weeks old or 78 years old (our youngest and oldest attendees), we hope that each person entering our doors felt special, welcome, and celebrated.
We are so grateful to every individual who gives their time, donates financially to our gift fund, or cooks a lasagna to make this meaningful event possible. Your gift truly makes a difference!
VOLUNTEER
If you are interested in helping out, we need help BEFORE the event as well as DURING the event. Different roles for event preparations include wrapping gifts, decorating the shelter, or preparing a lasagna. Different roles for the day-of the event include serving cookies, cocoa, or lunch.
