SUMMARY:VEGI Kickoff
DESCRIPTION:Join us this Cinco De Mayo at our annual kickoff for La Puente’s VEGI Program! The VEGI Kickoff event celebrates the beginning of our growing season at Boyd Community Garden. The evening will allow community members to fellowship\, partake in hors d’oeuvres and light refreshments\, help with seed-starters\, play yard games\, and learn more about VEGI. Our VEGI director\, Amy\, will be sharing about the mission of VEGI\, its local partnerships\, available nutrition and gardening lessons\, and our upcoming community garden nights (from May through September\, every Tuesday evening anyone is welcome to “share the work\, share the harvest” at Boyd)! \nAttendees are also encouraged to participate in a mural project to beautify the garden more: the shed will be turned into a giant paint by number\, making it easy for all skill levels to join (mockup below). \nIf you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to Amy Brenneman at 719-589-4567 (ext 102) or director.vegi@lapuente.net \nIf you wish to support VEGI financially\, designate gifts to the VEGI program on our donation page. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin us at our annual Generosity on Tap Fundraiser supporting La Puente’s Food Bank Network of the San Luis Valley. We are excited to be having this event again at The Colorado Farm Brewery. \nAll proceeds from the night will go directly to the Food Bank Network to help ensure no one has to go hungry in the San Luis Valley. Ticket price includes a chance to participate in the live & silent auction\, catered food (with vegan and vegetarian options)\, and live music performed by Don Richmond and the Rifters.
