DESCRIPTION:Starting November 12th and running through the end of the month\, original art created by kids in our PALS children’s program will be on sale at Milagros Coffee House! All pieces of art are certified originals and cost $10 per piece. All of the proceeds go directly to the artists for them to use as they please during a group shopping spree. \n

SUMMARY:La Puente's Community Thanksgiving
DESCRIPTION:La Puente’s needs volunteers for our Community Thanksgiving Meal which will take place on Thanksgiving Day\, based out of La Puente’s Shelter. The event will adhere to all COVID-19 health and safety regulations by serving an in-person meal for shelter guests only\, along with to-go meals at the door. This is only made possible with the support of community members who donate their time\, money\, and food. We are currently looking for Turkeys\, Stuffing\, Green Beans\, Mac & Cheese\, Mashed Potatoes\, Rolls\, Cranberry Sauce. If you would like to be part of this year’s celebration call 719-490-8799 or email volunteers@lapuente.net . DESCRIPTION:The Alamosa Elementary School is once again hosting it’s annual Halloween Food Drive!  As part of La Puente’s largest event every year\, kids from the elementary school get a chance to show off their great costumes and drop off cans of food that is taken to the Food Bank Network and distributed across the Valley.  Feel free to stop by and enjoy thlaughs\, great costumes\, and generous spirits.

SUMMARY:Great Thanksgiving Giveaway
DESCRIPTION:Thanksgiving is just around the corner; Take a moment to reflect on your family’s Thanksgiving traditions.  At the Food Bank Network of the San Luis Valley\, we’re hoping to ensure that our patrons are able to share in all these traditions along with us. \nLast year\, we distributed over 700 Thanksgiving boxes during our Great Thanksgiving Giveaway event. Families across the SLV received full Thanksgiving meals including corn\, green beans\, cream of mushroom soup\, stuffing\, cranberry sauce\, canned pumpkin\, canned sweet potatoes\, pie crust\, fresh produce\, and of course\, turkey. \nThis year\, our families have faced unprecedented hardship and economic challenges due to the pandemic\, and the need is greater than ever. \nAt the cost of $27.39\, you can ensure that one family who otherwise could not afford a Thanksgiving meal can celebrate with their loved ones this holiday season.  \nIf you have any questions\, please contact Annalise Baer by calling the Alamosa Food Bank at 719-589-4567 or by emailing director.foodbank@lapuente.net.
