La Puente’s Hunger Education Week is coming to a [...]
COVID is showing us we are #strongertogether. Support our community, by supporting our food bank. The event will take place Wednesday, April 29th at the corner of 6th and State, in the parking lot by the Alamosa Food Bank from 10 am to 6 pm. Volunteers will be stationed by the iconic green van to accept donations and take pledges to volunteer with local hunger relief efforts.
During COVID, La Puente believes we need community and support; so, we are not canceling CROP Hunger Walk, we’re going virtual! Will you take the challenge?
This year’s Hunger Education Week events look much different than events in the past, but still, hold the same amazing opportunities to help others. Rather than cancel this annual education series due to COVID, the La Puente staff believe we can all benefit from the support and education this event provides to the community.
La Puente thanks the SLV & Beyond for their support or our Food Bank Network & the "Buy a Semi Food Campaign." In fact, our community responded so quickly to our plea that the paint our “semi-meter” didn’t even get to dry before we had already reached our initial goal.
